About PAT

PAT is the organizational body that oversees the following programs:

PATH (Professional Accreditation for Telecommunications in Healthcare) and the TABI (Telelcommunications Accreditiation in Business & Industry) programs consist of 70 courses involving 348 hours. 22 courses amounting to 108 hours are designated core courses, which provide basic skills essential to general managerial performance. 48 additional courses, amounting to 240 hours are classified as specialty courses dealing in telecommunications technology. Together, the core and specialty courses form a program which enables a telecommunications professional to offer modern management services to any organization.

The PAT certification and recertification programs consist of four and eight hour educational modules geared specifically to the communications management profession. The Program requires the candidate to successfully complete 100 hours of educational training utilizing the PAT educational modules approved by the PAT Board of Directors. These 100 hours are divided into 36 hours of core courses and 64 hours of specialty courses. Core courses are designed for enhancement of management skills and specialty courses are technically based and have been found to be beneficial to professionals in both Telecom and Data. A participant must successfully pass a written exam with a score of 70% or higher to receive credit for any given module.
